The Concept
I would like to share with you a concept that can generate significant income for a community organization such as yours.
Car washes have traditionally been successful fundraising activities. However, in more and more communities this wasteful use of our precious and limited supplies of drinking water is now prohibited.
The idea of a "waterless" car wash is new and unique and benefits you and your community organization in several ways:
It can produce significant income on the day of the event.
Promoting water conservation has a positive community impact.
It can continue to generate income even after the event should you choose to promote product sales and/or sponsoring after the event.

The Plan
Conduct a Waterless Car Wash, a complete exterior vehicle detail, a wash, wax, polish and seal, with revenue derived primarily from "pledges."
Income Potential
Your members/supporters are provided with flyers to distribute to friends, around the neighborhood, on local bulletin boards, etc., and pledge sheets (see attached sample):
Example of income potential:
100 pledge sheets x 25 pledges per sheet = 2500 pledges x .10 for each car washed = $250.00 income for each car washed x 100 cars = $25,000 total income potential (i.e., $10 from each person who pledged) for every 100 cars washed. The .10 cents pledge is only a suggestion, you can ask for whatever amount you see fit.

NO OUT OF POCKET COST TO YOUR ORGANIZATION!
NOWET CONCEPTS will provide all advertising, printing, product, supplies and training for your event. We will have at least two expert detailers at the site of your fundraiser to supervise the event.
The income from your event will be split 70 / 30...70% to your organization and 30% to NOWET CONCEPTS.
NOWET will have rewards for the top three pledge writers.
NOWET CONCEPTS reserves the right to review the amount of pledges before committing to the event. NOWET will be due the amount equal to 30% of the pledges that are pledged before the event takes place. Example: If $10,000.00 is pledged and your group only collects $7,000.00 NOWET will still received 30% of the pledged amount, $10.000.00. By having this in the agreement it will make sure your participants do their due diligence in collecting their pledges.
Manpower: NOWET will supervise and organize the details below.
Assign a "team" to each vehicle - 4 people are best. A team of 4 can detail a car in approximately 10 minutes.
Have each team member assigned 1/4 section of the vehicle. We will instruct them on the proper procedure for cleaning. They work 1 1/2 hour shifts and then train their replacement and turn their 8-oz applicator bottle over to their replacement.
With 6 teams of 4 each it should be possible to wash 100 cars in 3 hours.
Optional:
NOWET products can be sold from a "Product Sales Table" THE INCOME FROM THIS IS SPLIT 50 / 50
Soft drinks can be sold to those waiting for their vehicles. THIS IS THE EVENT HOLDERS RESPONSIBILITY.
Follow-up:
All participants register name, address, and phone number to validate total count used in collecting on pledges.

Check list for waterless car wash
Preplanning:
Set date of event at least 4 weeks away
Secure a location on busy street with easy access and high visibility
Hand out pledge sheets, flyer, and scheduling roster to every person who will participate in obtaining pledges
Secure an ample supply of clean 100% terry cloth rags. NOWET WILL SUPPLY ALL SUPPLIES
Order the anticipated amount of product and dispenser bottles NOWET WILL SUPPLY ALL SUPPLIES
Make sure you have tables and chairs.
Canopies are very helpful to cool down the vehicles in case it is a very hot day. They also add a festive atmosphere and make the site more visible. Bungee cords can be used to hang banners and attach weights to canopies in case of wind.
Have something to use as a tip bucket.
Have forms for drivers to fill out while car is being washed with name address and telephone number and a box to collect completed forms.
Have some kind of tape or cones to make lanes on day of event. NOWET WILL SUPPLY ALL SUPPLIES
Have sign made up saying FREE CAR WASH / COMPLETE EXTERIOR DETAIL for people to hold on comers and hang around site.
The day of the event:
On day of event have supervisors meet 30 minutes early to set up lanes, tables, canopies and decide on flow of traffic
Set up system of training first teams and control distribution and return of applicator bottles.
Designate waiting area with shade, seating and possible refreshments.
As cars are left to be washed driver should be given form requesting name, address and, telephone number. It is critical to insure that this form is collected before driver leaves site.
Set up product and opportunity tables.
The person at the end should thank the people and quickly check the vehicle for any residue remaining and make sure form is collected.
